July’s Monthly Run is to Old Petrie Town (formerly known as North Pine Country Park), a charming restored historic village spread across 48 acres of parklands with heritage buildings, one of which is the Heritage Hotel where we will have lunch.
We will meet at 10:00 am in the car park of the Albany Creek Central Shopping Mall at the corner of Old Northern Road and Albany Forest Drive, we will depart at 10:30 AM to drive in convoy to Old Petrie Town we should arrive by 11:00, giving some time to browse the markets before lunch.

On Sundays, Old Petrie Town hosts weekly markets with stalls selling unique handicrafts, second hand books, fresh produce, and many other local goodies. With a stellar line-up of musicians and street performers, it’s an experience like no other. The markets are open from 7am – 1 pm.
There is a sizeable collection of Steam and Vintage Machinery. At 12:30 pm, we will gather at the Heritage Hotel for lunch
As lunch on Sunday is very popular and we have been able to obtain a reservation for a maximum of only 30 attendees. Registration for this event should be via the link below and will be on a first come, first served basis and only the first 30 to register will be able to sit in the area that the hotel will set aside for us.
There may be other seating available on the day, however, these seats may not be with other members who have already registered.

For those taking the short route via Old Northern Road,
For those, more interested in a drive than the markets, a suggested alternative is to travel via Samford and Dayboro, perhaps meeting at 10 AM at John Scott Park, 33 Main Street, Samford Village, across the road from the Long Yard Larder where coffee can be obtained and then at 10:30, leave to drive from there in convoy to the Heritage Hotel.
