Toowoomba, Monthly Run Sunday "The Downs Club"

This month we will be heading west to Toowoomba to enjoy lunch in the sumptuous surroundings of ​The Downs Club, ​15 Mylne St, Toowoomba City​.

​For more than 120 years the Downs Club​ ​has been one of Toowoomba’s oldest and most prestigious clubs and​ an integral part of Toowoomba's history, offering its members unique benefits. ​Conveniently located in the Toowoomba CBD, the late Victorian building is fully restored with modern technology but retains the elegance and service of an earlier era.​

Tomas Guerin, a club member, has kindly organized this venue and has also offered to give us a conducted tour of The Downs Club and provide us with the history of the club. I hope our local members will take advantage of this opportunity to join us for some fine dining in a stunning setting.

Meet at Goupong Park, Namatjira Drive, Collingwood Park [UBD Map 216 A12] for a 10:00 am departure to time our arrival at The Downs Club for approx. 11:15am.

11:30am – 12 noon: guided tour conducted by Tomas Guerin

12:30pm: two course lunch

Cost: $35/adult for the guided tour and two course meal (alternate drop)

Dress code: Smart casual
